I saw this rack on someone's car and went out looking for it. Very glad I found it. Easy to attach (other than getting a bit dirty from removing/replacing the spare tire); very secure; great all around. Went to a pro bike shop, the owner told me the only way I can put bike racks on is to get a hitch, then put a bike rack on the hitch. Finally I saw some people's CRV have this kind of bike rack mounted (I hate the trouble of putting removable bike racks on and off), so I checked on their website and found this for my CRV. The aluminum material fabrication is fine, however, the plastics and threaded-rod mounting lock to tire is kinda cheap and susceptible to vandalism/theft. What finalized my dislike for this product is the rotating arms--diffcult to use and again, chaeap in construction. Lastly, page 4 of the instructions were missing from my copy. |
